How to Get Into the Park

The first thing that happens when you enter Disneyland before you even enter the park where you get the tickets, it’s crowd. There is a huge line at the ticket area and there’s an even bigger line just to enter the park. The first thing you should do first is to order your passes online if you plan on coming a little later at around 10:00 a.m. You order them in advance. But if you plan to buy them at the park, then you should come either before the parks open or right when the park opens. Although the parks open at 9:00 a.m., Downtown Disney and the parking lots are open before the parks open. As you’re getting your tickets, they ask if you want to go to California Adventure or Disneyland (the side with the castle). Before you choose, you should find out if there is anything new because if there is a new ride, new land, or new store/restaurant then there are gonna be a lot of people. The map on the left is Disneyland and the one on the right is California Adventure (I couldn’t find a map with Pixar Pier, but where Paradise Pier is is where Pixar Pier is now). Now once you get into the park, you have to get to the rides. I forgot to mention that it will also be crowded during holidays, especially around Christmas and Halloween, and special events.

It’s a Walk Through the Park

Once you go past the gate where they scan your ticket, you are introduced to a garden with Mickey’s face in it and above it is the train station. And when you go through the tunnel that takes you under the tracks, you step onto Main Street U.S.A. If you are lazy and you don’t want to walk to lands, then I recommend taking the train. But if you want to walk and appreciate the scenery, then you are gonna have to walk past the heavy crowd. The easiest way to walk through the crowd is to look for open spots where you can slip through. If you have a group, make sure to hold each others hands. I recommend getting a fastpass for one ride and wait in line for another one and if the ride is out of fastpasses, ask the worker if there is single-rider. Single-rider is when you enter the ride through the exit and it gets you on the ride quicker. There is a chance that you won’t sit with your friend or whoever you are with. Some rides have them, some don’t. Once it hits lunch time, you’re gonna be standing there wondering where to eat. There are a couple of places that I recommend. The first place I recommend is a restaurant called “Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port” and this place offers pizza, salad, and pasta. It’s like a cafeteria at school. You grab a tray and you walk pass the stations; salad is first, pasta is second, pizza is third, and the sides like bread sticks and a side salad are last. The other pace to eat is called “Royal Street Veranda” and they have chowder and gumbo in bread boules, New Orleans-style fritters, and specialty coffees. The bread is sourdough and Disneyland makes it themselves. The two best things to watch when it’s night time are the fireworks and “Fantasmic”. Fantasmic is a water show and it shows a lot of amazing stuff, you have to see to believe.
