Seinfeld always seems to give an old chuckle no matter the “boring” setting. As the audience sees this episode, it turns out to be an episode for the books by showing the power of how a person goes insane and what humans would do in these scenarios.
In the “Parking Garage” directed by Tom Cherones, the main cast gets stuck in a parking garage of a mall, with Jerry having to use the restroom as they struggle to find Kramers’s car. In the mix of this, we have Elaine Goldfish on the brink of death and George stressing about missing a dinner date with his parents. Elaine, using her people skills, begs for people to drive them around in search of their car, but no one willingly helps them; Jerry, on the other hand, has like attitude has him annoying them by wanting to use the restroom, so Kramer gives him one of his fantastic ideas to go in the corner of the Garage where no one can see him.
After Jerry reluctantly agrees to commit this petty crime, he gets caught by mall security and detained; Jerry tries to get his way out of it by pulling out a fake disease of “Uromytisis poisoning.” This ultimately shows Jerry’s fast acting but just brings him to stay with the Guard. At this point of the episode, the group notices that Jerry isn’t with them and splits up to look for him; while the search is on, George is by himself and decides to do the same thing as Jerry and commit public urination too, gets caught and taken with the guard, and that’s where George finds Jerry.
The two guys get fined and released; they eventually find themselves with the group and meet a lady who agrees to take them to find their car. This part of the episode had my attention immediately when I hit play and had me hanging by how they were going to get home; it was a groundbreaking moment for the show because the TV ratings were going up way back in 1997, so Seinfield, when it ended was sad for Sitcom Comedy all around.
The gang eventually finds their car after hours, and when they get in the car, it won’t start, which makes it end with a laugh after all that trouble. Overall, it is one of the best and my personal favorite Seinfeld episodes, and I hope this review conscience you to watch it too.
