Healthy Paleo Donuts that will satisfy your cravings! Real donuts can be full of processed sugars and unhealthy fats. Instead of indulging in a chemically modified sweet treat, here is a recipe on how to make a healthy, satisfying donut!
Maple and Brown Sugar Donuts
INGREDIENTS
- 1 and 1/4 cups blanched almond flour
- 2 TBSP coconut flour
- 1/2 tsp unrefined sea salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 4 TBSP full fat coconut milk
- 4 TBSP real maple syrup (or honey)
- 4 TBSP coconut oil, melted
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
MAPLE GLAZE
- 1/2 cup raw cashews
- 1/4 cup real maple syrup
- 4 TBSP coconut butter
- 2 TBSP coconut oil
- 2 TBSP filtered water
Heat the oven to 350 and mix ingredients well. Fill a plastic bag and cut a tiny hole towards the corner to make a pipe. Once you have made dough circles on your pan, bake the donuts for about 18-20 min. Serve hot with frosting!
