Highlights or accomplishments
over the course of this school year… |
~ Unparallelled Pep Assembly videos by Nick and Nils.
~ The introduction of the student senate. ~Pre-pep assembly in the fall to boost morale. ~ Blackout football game where students lined a walkway for players to walk through. ~ A highly competitive Spike ball tournament. |
~A supportive administration that treats employees with respect.
~A detention system that requires students to serve detentions. |
~School Spirit is high!
~Staff Spirit is high! ~Attendance is improving ~Breaker Awards are now given out one morning each semester and are a huge hit! Parents join students and teachers for a light breakfast in a more personal setting instead of a one night ceremony. ~Parent education nights were a huge success, focusing on everyday and college admission stressors, bringing better awareness to the emotional health of our students. ~The new Student Support Specialist that has introduced mental health awareness activities (awareness week, yoga, personal appointments and group meetings). ~ In October 2018,Test prep and school wide college testing was provided free of charge for 9-11th grades. |
Goals/areas of improvement for future school years… | ~ Having fun at the expense of none.
~ Inclusivity – getting more breakers involved in activities and events. ~ An all-school community service project. |
~A schedule that reduces the amount of class time missed by our athletes. | ~ The addition of an athletic building that includes new restrooms near the baseball field.
~Focus on improving attendance. ~Focus on student engagement in the classrooms ~Test prep and school wide college testing free of charge one day on October 2018 for 9-12th graders. ~Continued modifications/upgrades to classrooms to provide the best learning environment for our students. |
