2016 Presidential Election Reactions
November 10, 2016
As the 2016 Presidential Elections came to a close, the Brush and Palette Staff decided to gather some student opinions about the future of America.
“I do not support the candidate that has won. Congrats to the people that support him, but we have to unite rather than separate. Martin Luther King said that ‘you can’t drive hate out with hate, we can only drive it out with love’, we need to love each other and at this point find compromise and unity.” -senior Noah Shucking.
“I think he is a buffoon, only time will tell if it works out or not. I don’t think it was the right choice and there were many signs of it, but with Republican control over the House and Senate, they will pass a lot of legislations. It will be either good or bad and only time will tell.” -sophomore David Berger.
“You know what, go Trump. As a country, I think we really just have to rally around our decision it was not something forced upon, as we chose to do this and anyone who keeps saying negative things are just going to ruin our country. We have to rally behind America the great.” -senior Olivia Pollins-Jones.
“I’m kinda scared for our country.” – senior Jaden Christiansen.
“I think it’s hilarious that Trump won, because he won over someone who has over 30 years of military and political experience.” – senior Joe Gallegos.
