Band takes on the Spring

Olivia Longoria

Band allows for a majority of experiences for all grade levels. From band to marching band to drumline, there is a place for everybody. Marching band marched in the Patriot’s Day Parade this year. In the parade, two Drum Majors have the honor to lead the band throughout the parades. Drumline on the other hand is competing four times this year as a percussion ensemble and stands undefeated. Later this year in April, band will hopefully be travelling to San Diego to play in a spring festival.

John Morreale- Drumline

“Drumline feels more like a family than a team.”

  • JD is a freshman and has participated in drumline this school year.
  • “I believe drumline holds the same expectations as other performing arts and has just as much respectability.”

Elias Pillsbury- Patriot’s Day Parade

“Preparing for the Patriot’s Day Parade required focus and commitment.”

  • “This was my first time participating in the Patriot’s Day Parade with LBHS. The experience is something I will look back on my future experiences in marching band.”
  • Elias has marched in the Patriot’s Day Parade.

Catherine Keyser- Drum Major

“Doing tricks with the Drum Major’s mace has been really cool!”

  • “Being drum major has given me the chance to work towards a goal and show off the hard work for an audience.”
  • Catherine is a very dedicated member in the band. Not only is she in the leadership role of being drum major, but also is the eldest member in drumline.
