Over the past year, Juuling has become the new trend because of its secrecy and quick nicotine headrush. One Juul pod contains as much nicotine as a pack of cigarettes, while the flavor pods can deliver more than double the nicotine buzz of other vaping products. The most worrying aspect of Juuling is the nicotine, which damages brain development, and is extremely addictive. Juuls can deliver a very high concentration of the drug, and experts worry that the popularity of  juuling is putting a new generation at risk of nicotine dependence.

“Heroin addicts say it is easier to give up dope than it is to give up smoking,” said Dr. Sharon Hall (University of California’s San Francisco).

As teenagers, we usually don’t think about the consequences of our actions. Many high schoolers believe they are invincible and that nothing they do will have any lasting consequences.

Side Effects:

  • Severe head pain
  • Increased hunger
  • Lung fungus
  • Pain in the jaw area
  • Throat pain

  • In each pod, there is 59 mg/mL of Nicotine, which is the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes per pod
  • Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances in existence.
  • One puff of nicotine disrupts normal activity, causing chemical changes throughout the brain that rapidly lead to addiction.
